Week 8

It's hard to believe we're already wrapping up our eighth week of this journey! There have been some challenges here and there but overall it has gone SO much better than I originally expected with C being such a little person. He's a fabulous sport and we have not needed to work during his nap time with the exception of our reading program. That's best without him although there have been days he has joined us!  J and M love school and ask to do it every day - even on non school days! They also love the co-op we are a part of on Fridays and look forward to going each week. I love the freedom, flexibility, and time together this school choice has given us.  An unexpected benefit of school is that J, M and C now play together better! I believe this is because they are appreciating their free play time more (and they're growing up, too!). Steady Days

Not too much exciting or crazy has been happening in our homeschool lately. We've been having lots of steady days the past few weeks. I've learned to appreciate those. Steady days are the best days. We just got back to the books after our fall break last week. We plan ahead to take a break at the end of September because the weather is usually quite gorgeous and we were not disappointed! But taking a break from the books does not mean we were not learning! We went on many adventures and even visited an art museum. Learning happens any place, any time and the best learning might not look like learning at all while you're in it! Here are some photos from the past few weeks.
